Shoddy work on a roof replacement that required me to have another contractor fix less than 18 months after the job. A vent cover not properly installed and a flat area of roof without any flashing. Make sure you have someone with knowledge (and i don’t mean the city inspector!) review their work on anything that doesn’t just consistent of laying shingle on an open sloped area of the roof. Roofing is not a commodity. You just don’t typically learn that until its too late. In response to Mr. maxWell response. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me ….. The two issues were so bad, i’m not sure how the roof passed inspection. I paid $7k to a trusted roofer to repair the 18-month old roof that was paid for by prior owner as a contingency of closing. Always accept the credit. Never have a job done on best price paid for by an exiting owner that has zero interest in quality and went with lowest bid ($29k) via a marketplace.

Mr. DeVitt, after looking into our records, this roof was installed and paid for by the previous owner of the home in January 2024, and the warranty was issued in your name after closing. In the two years since, we haven't received a call, email, or message from you regarding any issues. THEY DIDN'T PULL PERMITS AND HIRE UNLICENSED SUBCONTRACTORS!! The contract stated sherwin willams paint and they switched it for PRO MAR 700 cheap paint it's now pealing off the trim. WE HAVE A CASE WITH THE STATE AGAINST THEM!!! HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

My neighbor recently had some work done and a couple of tiles were kicked up on an overhang above my kitchen. I called Bigfoot Roofing on the 5th of July to do an estimate on the repairs. On the 20th I called back to inquire about the estimate as I had heard nothing. I was informed my entire roof needed to be replaced. Since my roof is only a few years old, I informed them this couldn't be the case. I was then informed they weren't taking any roof repairs because they were too busy; they would only take full roof replacements. Suppose that recommendation makes sense now.
